Kid-centered camp to explore the ocean

A five-day camp is set to take place in late June based in Pacific Grove, and open to those in surrounding areas like Monterey.

This camp will allow kids to explore the ocean, and some of the ecosystems that are a part of it, up close and personal. It is important that those who will be attending know how to swim, due to the nature of the activities planned. In addition to the ocean, Monterey Bay and some tidepools will be visited. One day will also include a trip to Del Monte Beach.

The event will allow children to try activities like snorkeling, algae pressing, fish printing, and kayaking. The activities will be spread out over the five days the adventure is occurring. Plankton, fish, kelp, and algae are among the sea plants and animals kids can expect to learn about.

Parents will pay a fee of $475 for their child to attend, and campers must range from the ages 8 to 13. Each day will start at 8:30 am and last until 3:00 pm. The adventure will run Monday, June 21, through Friday, June 25. Camp attendees should be dropped off at Lover’s Point Park, where there is likely to be signage with the event Logo Design to direct children where to go. The park is located at 631 Ocean View Blvd.
