Long Beach thinks of next years ink
A date has already been set for the 2015 ‘Ink N Iron’ next summer in Long Beach. The festival blends many activities into one weekend each year.
Included in the event will be hot rod cards, live music, 50s fashion, art shows, and live music. The highlight of the festival each year, however, is the tattoo show. Around 280 of the top tattoo artists from across the globe, representing many tattoo styles, will be present.
The Queen Mary upon the ocean will be the backdrop for the festival, with the Long Beach skyline as a frame. The Long Beach Tattoo Convention started in 2003 and catapulted Long Beach into the center of the world of tattoos. The original tattoo shop housed Bert Grimm’s World Famous Tattoo and was the longest serving tattoo shop in the U.S., in business from 1927-2003.
Tattoo booths will be spread throughout three floors of the Atrium Exhibit Hall on the Queen Mary with easy access.
Booth vendors should consider working with a local print company in providing materials needed to set up and operate the booth. Beginning with banner printing, the print company can create banners that have the tattoo vendor’s name and logo imprinted on them. They can then be placed across the booth for visitors to see.
The event takes place June 12-14, 2015.
