Long Beach puts on day for scouts
The Aquarium of the Pacific, a Long Beach hub for protecting sea life, will host a Scouts Day soon.
The event is open to Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts throughout the region. The trip is closely linked to the Scouts program, where both groups will engage in numerous self-led activities that give them the opportunity to earn badges as they tour. This is also an opportunity for the groups to learn more about marine life, and how it plays a part in a delicate yet robust ecosystem.
The aquarium has sea life such as sharks, sea otters, and jellyfish. In addition to being a premier attraction site for its community, the aquarium also frequently hosts programs such as this one to give back to those who support it.
Scouts’ Day activities may be pre-downloaded on the organization’s website. Before attending, all Scouts will need to print and fill in the answer sheets to participate. This will aid in guiding the activities necessary for earning badges.
The cost for attending will be $19.95 for children and $24.95 for adults. Members enter free with reservation. Tickets must be purchased online in advance. Poster printing can be useful for giving assistance at events like this one.
Scouts’ Day takes place on November 6, beginning at 9:00 am and ending at 4:00 pm.
