What's Happening in Laguna Hills, CA…

Good vibes promised in Laguna Hills

An upcoming event in Laguna Hills promises music, food, and fun for everyone.

Summer marks the beginning of a series of Reggae Vegan Fest Parties throughout Orange County, and one of the events is taking place in Laguna Hills.

The party brings vegans together to celebrate their compassionate and eco-friendly lifestyle. An all-you-can-eat BBQ will feature Jamaican jerk “Chick’n” pasta, potato salad, smoked seitan “steak,” and an organic green salad provided by vegan caterer Leaf Over Beef.

Entertainment will be handled by reggae band Lamour & The Mystik Band, headed by guitarist and singer-songwriter Evans Lamour. He grew up in Haiti where his experience singing in a choir inspired him to develop as a musician. He relocated to New York City where he performed in local clubs, and played gigs at colleges and weddings. He moved again, this time to California on the invitation of a promoter where he joined friends to form the “Magyk Band.” This morphed into the current name of the group, who have opened for artists such as Spragg Benz & Half Pint, and Glen Washington. They also opened the Bob Marley Festival twice.

The OC Reggae Vegan Fest Party is scheduled for Sunday, September 14 at the Heritage Room of the Laguna Hills Community Center. When organizers plan events like this, they can use poster printing to create advertising for them.
