Guided mindfulness walk planned for residents

A guided outdoor program focused on awareness and reflection will be of interest to Laguna Hills’ residents. It is scheduled to take place this winter at Laguna Coast Wilderness Park.

The event will offer participants a structured opportunity to slow down and engage with the landscape. The experience will be led by trained volunteers from the Laguna Canyon Foundation.

The walk will cover less than one mile on mostly level ground, with multiple pauses for interactive exercises intended to heighten attention to the surrounding environment. Organizers describe the pace as accessible, making the outing suitable for individuals new to mindfulness and those with established practices. The experience will conclude with a small tea ritual using responsibly harvested native plants. Community nature-based programs and weekend outings like this attract attendees from nearby communities, such as Laguna Hills.

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required for all attendees, including kids. The program is open to participants aged 10 and older, with minors required to attend alongside a guardian or parent. There is no admission fee for the event itself; however, parking at the site costs $3 per vehicle.

Event safety notices, typically produced by local Print shops, may be posted at the meeting area to assist participants during events such as this one.

Attendees are advised to bring water, sun protection, and sturdy footwear. Weather conditions may affect scheduling.

The Nature Meditation Walk will be held on February 8th, from 9 am to 11 am at Nix Nature Center, Laguna Coast Wilderness Park, 18751 Laguna Canyon Rd, Laguna Beach, California.
