Wellness event combines Pilates with ponies

A fitness and lifestyle gathering in Laguna Hills will blend low-impact exercise with an outdoor equestrian atmosphere during the upcoming “Ponies & Pilates” event.

Hosted by Lasso in partnership with instructor Melina Nasab Keefe, the three-hour session is designed to offer attendees a relaxed environment focused on movement, balance, and social connection while ponies remain nearby throughout the experience. Organizers described the event as an approachable wellness activity intended for both experienced participants and newcomers.

Keefe, an equestrian athlete and certified fitness instructor, will lead the session. With more than a decade of training experience, her instruction emphasizes core strength, posture, and injury prevention, particularly through exercises targeting smaller stabilizing muscle groups often overlooked in traditional workouts. The class is also influenced by conditioning techniques commonly used within equestrian sports.

Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable athletic clothing, with optional spring-themed color coordination suggested for the event. While mats will be available on site, attendees may bring their own equipment.

General admission is priced at $55.20, including a $5.20 service fee. Entry includes access to the Pilates session and event activities. Free parking will also be available for attendees. Community lifestyle events like this often rely on poster printing and local promotional campaigns to attract participants.

Ponies & Pilates will take place on Sunday, June 7 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm at 25202 Nellie Gail Road in Laguna Hills. Doors open at 11:30 am.
