Family fun show comes to Laguna Hills

An upcoming event in Laguna Hills will allow people to show off their rides, admire other vehicles and learn about trucks.

The 4th Annual Laguna Hills Car Show is coming, and part of the day also provides a chance to Touch-A-Truck. The Laguna Hills Chamber of Commerce is hosting the show, and is inviting everyone to bring classic trucks, cars, and even motorcycles to the party.

Touch-A-Truck events are popular throughout the country. Official vehicles such as police cars, fire trucks, dump trucks, cement mixers, and sometimes even helicopters are put on display. Children of all ages can get behind the wheel, flash the lights, honk the horn, sound the siren, and learn all about the vehicles they see. Operators and drivers are on hand to explain the way the vehicles function.

The day is also a chance for attendees to help others in the community. Members of the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines (3/5, which is nicknamed “Dark Horse”) will be on hand to collect donations of diaper packs.

Similarly, South County Outreach is asking for donations of nonperishable food items, especially canned tuna, canned chicken, canned pasta sauce, canned fruit, jelly, peanut butter, and canned diced and stewed tomatoes.

The show is on Saturday, June 22, from 9.00 am until 1.00 pm, at the Laguna Hills Mall. Organizers of events like this will often use poster printing to create advertising for them.
