Concert series in Laguna Hills

Communities throughout the nation provide summer entertainment in many Forms, and Laguna Hills is doing the same, with a series of concerts.

August brings three performances, two at the Laguna Hills Community Center, and one at Cabot Park.

The month kicks off with a performance by Family Style, a local band that has been playing soul music and classic tunes from artists like Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughn, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, and Earth Wind & Fire, along with a generous helping of rock from David Bowie. The band has played since 1989 in venues throughout Orange County.

Next on the schedule is Yachty by Nature, a six-piece band founded in 2016 in Southern California. They play soft yacht rock from bands like Toto, Steely Dan, Hall and Oates and more. Yacht rock is also called the “West Coast Sound,” and was most popular in the 1970s and 1980s. This style drew on sources like disco, R&B, smooth jazz, and smooth soul, and was characterized by catchy melodies, and high-quality production values.

The month winds up with a performance by the Pacific Symphony’s mobile Symphony on the Go! The mobile stage brings members of the orchestra to communities throughout Orange County.

Family Style appears August 2, Yachty by Nature plays August 9, and Symphony on the Go! Will be at Cabot Park on August 31. Organizers who plan series like this will often use poster printing to create colorful ads.
