A surfing and yoga event is being planned for Huntington Beach to celebrate the legacy of the sport's best Black surfers.
The 3rd Annual Great Day in Stoke is around the corner. It will bring the best Black surfers together for a surf competition and a morning of yoga on the beach. The event aims to be the largest meeting of Black surfers in the sport’s history, allowing attendees to participate in a historical event out in the sun.
Guests can expect an opportunity to catch waves, meet with like-minded people, and soak up the sun in a welcoming environment. It will be the ultimate cultural celebration and provide friendly competition for participating surfers.
Spectators can watch the surfing competitions, which begin at 7:00 AM and consist of Men’s and Women’s Long and Short Boards. Banner printing is an excellent way for sponsors to build brand visibility while celebrating the accomplishments of the athletes.
Attendees can enjoy free surf lessons from experienced professionals beginning at 8:00 AM. Yoga enthusiasts can also enjoy stretching and exercises on the beach, which are sponsored by the clothing company Lululemon. Each guest will receive a complimentary gift from Lululemon.
The events will be held at the Huntington Beach Pier on Saturday, September 14th. General admission is free for all interested parties, and reservations can be made online.
