Beach volleyball league set to begin in Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach residents who want to stay active this winter will want to make a note in their Journals, as a beach volleyball league has opened registration.

The Sunday Beach Volleyball League has announced the official start date for the upcoming season, and area athletes and volleyball enthusiasts can go online to get their team signed up. The league is being organized by Beach City Sports, and the season will run from early December through early February.

All of the games throughout the season will be played on Sundays, adding a new twist to Sunday Fundays for local athletes. The format will pit teams of four against each other in a co-ed league. The league is open to players and interested parties of all skill and experience levels. Banner printing can welcome participants and spectators to the host site of games for recreational athletic leagues like this.

Free agents are also encouraged to sign up, and organizers work to help them find a team. All gear will be provided by the organizers, and the matches will be best-of-three, played to 21 points. Athletes can sign up for the beginner, intermediate, or advanced level.

The games will be held at Newland & PCH Nets in Huntington Beach, with the first games scheduled for Sunday, December 7th, at 10:00 AM. Registration is $99.95 per player.
