The Surfrider Foundation of North Orange County will host a free community beach cleanup in Huntington Beach this August, inviting volunteers to help protect the coastline and preserve the local environment.
The event is open to the public and is organized in partnership with Bolsa Chica State Beach. As the event takes place outdoors during the summer, volunteers are advised to wear appropriate beach attire and bring sunscreen, water, a hat, and a change of clothes if needed.
Cleanup supplies, including Bags and gloves, will be provided, although participants are encouraged to bring reusable equipment whenever possible to help reduce waste.
Participants can take advantage of free parking by informing the entrance attendant that they are attending the beach cleanup. Registration is available through the Surfrider Foundation's official website, and organizers note that completing a Better Impact application is not required to participate.

The cleanup will take place at Bolsa Chica State Beach from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon on August 23 at the Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach, with participants meeting at the Surfrider tent near Tower 21 for check-in before heading out to collect litter along the shoreline.
