Rock star Sammy Hagar, who spent over a decade as the lead singer for Van Halen, as well as enjoying a successful solo career, is bringing his beach party back to Huntington Beach.
This is the second year for the High Tide Beach Party & Car Show, which proved to be such a success last year that the event has been expanded into a two-day bash. The lineup of artists who will be providing live music reads like a who’s who of rock legends, and includes KC and the Sunshine Band, Patty Smyth and Scandal, Steel Panther, Extreme, Blue Öyster Cult, Night Ranger, The Beach Boys, Richie Sambora, Tony Lewis from The Outfield, and Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil. Headlining the whole party is Hagar’s own group, Sammy Hagar & The Circle— the other members being Vic Johnson, Jason Bonham, and Michael Anthony.
In addition, the car show will feature Hagar’s own Ferrari BB512i used in his music video “I Can’t Drive 55,” along with one of the “General Lee” cars seen in the “Dukes of Hazzard” television series; the Generals were 1969 Dodge Chargers.
There will also be food and drinks from Hagar’s Cabo Wabo Cantina and games and activities such as line dancing lessons are planned. Banner printing can be used to provide decorations for events like this.
Tickets are already on sale for the party, which is set for September 28 and 29 at Huntington State Beach.
