The Huntington Beach Kiwanis Club serves the community in a variety of ways and its popular golf tournament fundraiser will soon be making its return.
The organization has booked time at Meadowlark for a day of golf, and the goal is to raise enough funds to provide scholarships to at least five students. It will honor local first responders, and an activity, which has proven to be an event favorite, will be back.
The plans for the day open with registration, and a variety of food vendors will have stations set up for the golfers to enjoy. Cold beer will be flowing, and any player that would like to put their skills to the test can try their luck at one of the hole games and challenges. The play will follow a scramble format and have 18 holes. Everyone who registered will receive a bucket of range balls, at the Huntington Beach fire truck ball drop will be back.
Many who organize fundraisers try to find ways to make their event stand apart from the crowd. Print shops will be happy to help, and can provide everything from swag to banner printing services.
The HB Kiwanis Golf Tournament will be taking to the course on September 12. The registration deck will be open for check-in starting at 10:00 am. Tee-off time will be 12:30 pm.
