As the area gears up for the arrival of a new year, many of its residents will be heading to the Huntington Beach Municipal Pier for a fun-filled celebration.
The annual Surf City Splash is set to welcome another new year, and it will be fun for both swimmers and landlubbers alike. There are several competitions in the works for the event, one of which will see some intrepid bathers take to the chilly winter ocean for a quick dip.
The day will open with breakfast, which will be served from 9:00 am until 11:45 am. This will be accompanied by tunes spun by a DJ, and several guest speakers will address the crowd.
One of the activities on the agenda is a costume contest. Prizes will be presented in several categories, and awards will also be given to the best hat and the individual in costume who has travelled the furthest to join in the fun. Corporate Gifts are often given to the winners of a friendly competition list this, and a printer’s graphic design team can craft unique items for a special event.
The 2024 Surf City Splash will kick off 2024 on Monday, January 1. The proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated to Surfriders to help cover the cost of its environmental stewardship and conservation projects.
