A Huntington Beach equestrian center has made arrangements to kick off its schedule of open-house events for 2023, and everyone is welcome to stop by.
The team at the Huntington Central Park Equestrian Center have partnered with Free Rein Foundation to bring horses and people together for a special “Hug and Groom” activity. Both adults and kids can participate, and the monies raised through the ticket sales will be used to help feed and care for the Center’s equine residents.
Those who come out will be able to meet the horses, all of which will be rescued animals trained in equine therapy. The function will be held rain or shine, and it will offer information about the benefits of therapeutic riding for those who are neurodivergent or have other health or developmental issues. The group sizes will be kept small so that everyone who participates can spend some time with the horses, and maybe even the venue's resident mule.
To help raise even more funds through the day, there will be an assortment of Corporate Gifts for sale that have been printed with special graphic design. The participants will be invited to browse and shop before they head for home.
The Huntington Central Park Equestrian Center will be hosting its February Hug and Groom on Sunday, February 5. More details about the day and what will take place are available online.
