Golf tournament to carry the torch next month

The Special Olympics World Games Golf Classic is being held this March in San Juan Capistrano. It will be a fundraising event for the upcoming Special Olympics World Games, which will take place in Los Angeles in July and August.

Fees to take part in the tournament are $300 per player or $1,000 for a foursome. Fees will cover golf, a putting contest, food and beverages at each hole, and a dinner program. There will also be silent and live auctions.

Sponsorships are available from $1,500 to $10,000, and lending support will result in being recognized on Banners and Signs on the course.

As the name suggests, Special Olympics athletes will be traveling to the games from all over the world. Many locations in the Los Angeles area have signed up as host cities for the visitors who will be making their way there, including Fountain Valley and Huntington Beach. Printing companies will no doubt be helping to get the word out about the games in these communities, which may include the likes of Flyers and Posters.

The Special Olympics World Games Golf Classic is taking place at the Marbella Country Club on March 9 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The deadline to sign up for the tournament is February 19. Contact Joy Giczewski at 714-500-6101 for more information or to become a sponsor.
