What's Happening in Huntington Beach, CA…

Fundraiser for poverty in Huntington Beach

A community walk is being planned to help those in need near the Huntington Beach area, and interested parties are welcome to join.

The 28th Annual Walk Out of Poverty, organized by Concern America, is preparing to welcome interested parties on a five-mile walk to raise money for those in need. The funds being raised will benefit communities in Latin America by providing water filtration systems and access to education and health care.

While the walk will be held in neighboring Fountain Valley, CA, interested parties can support the cause virtually or by walking where they live. All registered individuals will receive a t-shirt to commemorate their participation in the walk. Participants are encouraged to set fundraising goals, with $100 raised providing the beneficiaries with clean water for up to 25 years. Banner printing is a memorable way to welcome walkers to the finish line at such fundraising events.

Guests are welcome to invite friends and family members to walk with them at the Walk Out of Poverty. Individuals who choose to walk and support the cause virtually can send photos or videos of their participation to the event organizers.

The walk will start at Mile Square Park in nearby Fountain Valley on Saturday, April 12th, from 7:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Registration costs $10 and can be arranged online.
