San Ramon to celebrate Fourth of July with run

A Fourth of July run is coming up in the area, and residents from Dublin are welcome to participate.

The course will follow a 5K trail, where runners will race to celebrate Independence Day. All participants will have the choice of running or walking the event. Regardless of which option is chosen, everyone will receive a participation medal for their efforts. Winners will also be recognized for their accomplishments, with medals planned for top female and male runners depending on their age group.

Before the race day, all participants can pick up their shirts, bibs, and participation medals. These items are produced with the assistance of local Print shops and help commemorate the holiday and race.

Organizers will also monitor COVID-19 conditions before the run. The event is currently planned to be in-person with a set course, but participants can still opt for a virtual option. Organizers will also hand out free drinks, ice cream, and fruits for runners during the event.

The run is set for the morning of July 4 and will start at 8:00 AM. Tickets are $40 for adults and $30 for youths if bought before June 17. For tickets bought after this date, an additional $10 will be charged for both options. The run will start at San Ramon Community Center on 12501 Alcosta Boulevard.
