A brand new grocery store has set up shop in Dublin.
Whole Foods recently opened a 40,000 square foot store at 5200 Dublin Boulevard. It’s the first of this chain’s franchises to open within the city, and it’s 43rd in Northern California.
Those who came out to take part in the grand opening celebrations were treated to free coffee provided by Allegro Roasters, as well as many different free samples of the products on offer within the store. Along with this, the Livermore Valley Winegrower’s Association gave customers a chance to enjoy a taste of their products, and there was also a bread baking ceremony. A banner printing firm can provide all the decorations needed to lend an even more festive air to the day.
To help mark the event, a collection was taken up on Facebook. For each “like” the store got, a donation was made to Dublin Partners in Education. The store’s team leader reported that it would continue this trend with a series of giving events scheduled throughout the year. Along with this, shoppers who choose to use their own Bags will be able to donate a nickel per bag to different area charities.
The store will feature many different locally sourced varieties of produce and other goods, as well as fresh salads, pizzas, and other prepared foods. The bakery will offer freshly baked goods each day such as éclairs and bagels.
