The City of Dublin is scheduled to host its 11th annual ‘Inside Dublin’ in a couple of months.
The event is a leadership academy and is intended to provide members of the community with an opportunity to learn more about the way their city functions. They will receive an in-depth education in its municipal operations and different community activities. It is hoped that this will make them more aware of how the community functions, and also the different issues that it faces on a day-to-day basis, as well as in the future. It is also a chance for people to become more engaged and knowledgeable about the area they call home.
Those who take part in the program will hear from a variety of speakers who will give presentations on topics such as local government, public safety, and community services. There will also be a field trip. A printing company will be able to provide a variety of handouts and other printed materials that can be distributed to the participants.
The seven-week program will run on Thursday evenings from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm, starting on October 3. It will be limited to the first 20 people that apply, and they must live or have a job in Dublin.
Anyone who may be interested in taking part is invited to visit the city’s website for more information.
