Dublin will hold Tri-Valley’s Halloween Con, a family-friendly convention celebrating all things pop culture. The event will take place next month.
Organized by Bay Area Festivals, the convention will give fans of comics, anime, collectibles, and other facets of pop culture a chance to come together and celebrate their hobbies. All sorts of merchandise will be for sale, including art, Posters, T-Shirts, hats, and more. These items are usually produced with the help of local Print shops. There will also be an online shop for anyone wanting to shop from home.
The event will have special guests to meet and greet with fans. More details on who is attending will likely be released at a later date. Organizers will also prepare a Cosplay Costume Contest for those coming dressed up as their favourite characters. Winners will be divided according to age group, and each first-place finisher will win a $100 cash prize.
The convention will be held on October 31 between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. It will take place at the Shannon Community Center on 11600 Shannon Avenue. Tickets to the event are $12, and anyone under the age of 10 can attend for free. Also, anyone who registers in advance will receive an extra $2 “Toy Buck” per purchase. These can be used for any single purchase at the event.
