Dublin schedules summer family campout series
Dublin families in search of the experience of a night spent under the stars will not have to travel far to enjoy the activity this summer.
The city’s New American Backyard has three family campouts planned, with sessions scheduled for June, July, and August. Both Dublin residents and non-residents may take part, and its reservation system is open to the public.
Families who include one of the campouts in their plans will need to bring a tent as well as sleeping bags, flashlights, camp chairs, clothing and other personal items. Meals, entertainment, and other fun will be provided. Everyone can snack on the s’mores around the campfire, and each will take place at a different city park. The session will give the participants a chance to give camping a try and perhaps make it a part of their routine in summers to come.
Communities often offer a variety of workshops, classes, and recreational opportunities. Stationery printers that provide binding services can prepare community guides to distribute to local households so they can make their summertime plans.
Dublin has scheduled its Family Campout series for June 8, July 13, and August 3, all of which are Sundays. Each will run from 4:00 pm until 10:00 am the next day, and full details, including a list of the venues, can be found on the city’s government website.
