The city of Dublin is asking for the public’s help in making this holiday season brighter for those in need.
Dublin is once again coordinating its annual effort to encourage its residents, who are well known for their warmth and care for their fellow citizens, to contribute to help those who are less fortunate.
To help make this as easy for them as possible, the public is invited to stop by the Dublin Senior Center, the Dublin Civic Center, or the Dublin Shannon Community Center and Preschool to choose a gift tag from among those on display.
The tags, which can be designed and produced by a Stationery printing company, represent a wish from someone in the neighborhood who could use a helping hand.
After choosing their tag, all the person needs to do is to purchase the item requested, wrap up in holiday paper, and then drop it off, along with the original tag, either back at the location from which they first picked it up pr one of the other two collection points no later than Friday, December 11 at 5:00 pm.
The city staff will make sure that the gift makes it to the person who made the wish and brighten their holidays by letting them know someone cares.
