Dublin named a place to be for young California families

The city of Dublin recently received some news that may come as no surprise to the families who already live there.

NerdWallet, which is a website that compiles and provides financial information and tools that can be used for comparing different products and locations, recently placed the city in its list of the top five places for young families in the whole of Northern California. This can make it a very attractive spot for someone looking to relocate, and can be included in Brochures and other materials the city uses to promote itself.

Dublin took the fourth spot, and the determination for this ranking was made using a variety of criteria. These including such factors as home affordability, family friendliness, quality of education, prosperity, and growth.

According to NerdWallet, Dublin offers a variety of benefits including close proximity to a BART train line and its very low crime rate. The median family income has risen by 54.88% from 1999 to 2014, which is the second largest amount for its category. Two new schools are slated to be completed in the next few years, and there are a variety of festivals and events held throughout the year, and plenty of parks and other green spaces are available for use.

El Dorado Hills took the first spot on the list, while Folsom and San Ramon took second and third places respectively.
