The Meals on Wheels program provides nutritious food to seniors and others who find it difficult to shop and prepare their own food, and a Dublin area luncheon will give the public a way that they can help to ensure this service will continue to be available
SOS Meals on Wheels has planned its annual fundraising lunch, and anyone who would like to lend a hand is welcome. The goal is to raise $25,000, which will be used to help make sure that all seniors and others who need a little extra help will have enough to eat, even if they cannot prepare it for themselves.
The luncheon will see Cooks who work with the program prepare a menu of gourmet dishes for the guests, and there is lots more on the agenda as well. A variety of items will be on the block for the silent auction, and there will also be a “pick your prize” raffle.
The fundraiser will be held on May 19, and is set to begin at 11:30 am. Flyer printing and other Print services for this type of function can be supplied by a local printer.
