Dublin area firefighting themed fundraiser set to return

For the past nine years, the Livermore- Pleasanton Firefighters Foundation has organized its Hook and Ladder Run in the Dublin area, and 2018 will see the tradition keep on going.

In early June, Wente Vineyards will be the location for the 10th anniversary of this event, and the organizers noted that it has always proven to be a big success. There are spaces available for 1,500 runners, and it is expected to be another sellout.

To help keep the occasion running smoothly, everyone who is interested is asked to register ahead of time. At the finish line, an expo will be set up where local vendors will have booths and displays and more than 100 items will be given away in a huge raffle. Stationery printers can be called upon to provide everything from signage to official Letterheads and any other printed items for this type of large function.

While this occasion is intended to be fun, it also raises money for a variety of not-for-profit initiatives. The proceeds are donated to help treat burn victims, given to the families of fallen first responders, and to charities in the Tri Valley area.

Registration for this activity will remain open until May 30 or until all the spaces are filled. The Hook and Ladder race and fun runs will be held on June 10.
