Although the first Big Hat Half-Marathon does not take place until February 21, those interested in making the run should consider registering soon.
The 13.1-mile course for the Big Hat begins in Old Town Clovis and is anticipated to have a minimal impact on drivers in the vicinity. According to the owner of Sole 2 Soul Sports, Scott Newton, a lot of thought went into devising a course without any landlocked areas. Moreover, streets directly impacted by the race will be reopened as soon as the last runner goes by. Drivers may have to make slight detours for a short time but no one will find themselves stuck.
The race is hosted by Sole 2 Soul Sports and will benefit Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center, located along the course. The event will feature an all-American cowboy theme. Registrants will receive swag in the form of a customized fleece blanket, technical running shirt and an event mason jar all featuring the race’s Logo Design as well as a hot breakfast and a finisher’s medal upon completion of race. Additionally, a running hat will be provided to those who sign up prior to January 1.
Procrastination for this race will be costly; for those who sign up before November 16 registration will be $70, between November 16 and January 31 it will be $80 and beginning February 1 registration goes up to $90. The race takes place at 7 am on February 21.Get a Free Quote for Logo Design
