Face painting and pumpkin decorating on tap for Clovis

Tomorrow, October 6, several fun events are on offer for families in Clovis this Saturday.

Children can decorate pumpkins at the Clovis Botanical Garden from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm on Saturday. Each child gets to decorate two pumpkins - one for the botanical gardens and one to take home. Space is limited so children attending should be registered in advance by calling Marge at (559) 323-5974. The Clovis Botanical Gardens are located at 945 N. Clovis Ave.

The Botanical Garden is a one-acre garden planted with water-wise plants, acting as a residents’ demonstration of plants that are suitable for gardens in Clovis.

The same evening, Clovis Night Out begins at 5:00 pm and ends at 9:00 pm on Saturday at Clovis High School. Families can meet members of the Clovis Police Department and learn about the Clovis Community Watch program. There will also be food booths, as well as game and boutique booths.

The fire department, sanitation department, the military, and law enforcement will have a variety of equipment on display. Kids can enjoy the free bounce houses and get their face painted while parents enjoy the live music.

Clovis Night Out is a great time to get to know the neighbors and local law enforcement and introduce kids, so they are not afraid if the sheriff or fire department ever needs to offer assistance to them. Business card printing is also worth considering as a great way to network at neighborhood events and to stay in contact with neighborhood resources.

Clovis High School is located at 1055 Fowler Avenue. For more information call (559) 327-1000.
