Having a baby can be an exciting but also frightening experience, so an information session has been planned for Clovis to give the mothers and fathers-to-be who participate the information and confidence they can use to make their family’s birth experience a positive one.
The class, which includes a tour of the birth facilities available at the Clovis Community Medical Center, is open to expectant mothers and their support people. It is offered as a condensed version of the typical series of classes, which take place over four weeks.
Participants will learn about the process of labor and birth as well as different calming and comforting techniques that they can use during that time. They will also be given information about the different medical procedures that they may experience and the options that are available to them.
The workshop will take place on December 2 from 6:30 pm until 9:00 pm in the Outpatient Care Conference Room of the Clovis Community Medical Center. The cost to participate is $90, which includes materials the attendees can take home with them. Items like this can be produced by a company that provides printing services.
Those who plan on taking part are asked to bring along two pillows and arrive comfortably dressed. More details about the training session can be found on its Eventbrite page.
