Clovis parents invited to attend area meet-up

Navigating the world of Individual Education Plans (IEP) and other educational support for special needs kids can be a challenge, so a Clovis activity will offer solidarity and support to parents and carers.

Parents with a child in the Clovis Unified School District (CUSD) who has an IEP are invited to be part of a morning that will help them connect with others in a similar boat. The CUSD Professional Development Building will be the location for what will be a free meet-up for anyone interested.

The group will give parents and guardians a chance to meet and share their challenges and successes. They will be able to discuss the various programs on offer to CUSD families, and build a network they can call on in the future if times get tough. It will be a casual function, and it will be running for one and a half hours.

Families navigating the world of inclusive education for special needs kids may appreciate learning about support groups and other aids available in the local area. A brochure printing company will be pleased to help.

This chance for Clovis parents to meet is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, January 10. It will begin at 8:30 am, and a link to reserve a seat for the occasion can be found on Eventbrite.
