Roller skating can be a fun way to spend a morning, and a Clovis rink is offering a session that will offer a sensory-friendly experience for autistics and other non-neurotypicals.
The two hour long skate, which will be open to all ages, will provide special accommodations so that everyone can enjoy the fun. Admission will be $13, and this includes the rental fees for a pair of roller skates.
The listing for the morning explained that it is part of United Skates of America’s Clovis location’s Skate for Autism series. All of the games will be shut down, and the music will be kept at a low level. There will be staff on hand to assist any parents or caregivers who need it. Those who require a mobility device such as a wheelchair will be able to take it out onto the skating floor, and shoes will also be permitted.
In the listing prepared for the skating session, the venue explained that it has fundraiser packages available for area community service organizations. A brochure printing company can organize information packages to distribute to potential sponsors of an event.
This chance for everyone in Clovis to give rollerskating a try will run from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on November 26th. Advance registration is not required to be part of the event.
