Clovis’s Green Cart initiative collects compostable organics from local households, and its residents who enjoy gardening are invited to take advantage of an offer that will connect them with the end results of this composting program.
The Solid Waste Division of the city’s Public Utilities Department recently announced that it has scheduled a free compost giveaway for early March. It will be available for as long as supplies last, and it is for Clovis residents only.
Compost prepared using the organic material collected in the Green Cart program will be distributed, and everyone will need to supply their own containers to take it home. There will be loading assistance provided to those who need it.
