Law enforcement personnel from Clovis and the surrounding area who would like to add some new skills to their crisis conflict resolution skills may want to reserve their seat for an upcoming short course.

The Clovis Police Department has made arrangements to host “The Basics of Crisis Negotiations” course, which includes 40 hours of training time. It may be especially helpful to those who are new to the field, and the learning will be spread out over five days.

During the classes, the participants will learn the fundamentals of crisis negotiations from a law enforcement perspective, and the instructors will have a background in hostage negotiation and many years of field experience in POST Plan IV. The tuition fee for the activity is $749.00 each, and a wait list will be created should the course fill up.

Attending continuing education sessions is part of many people’s career, and learning materials for these events may be sourced from a professional printing service company. It will be able to supply everything from promotional Pens to bound Copies of manuals and other texts, all of which may be customized according to the customer’s requests.

This introduction to Basic Crisis Negotiations will begin on January 10 and wrap up on January 14. The venue for the classes will be 1233 5th Street in Clovis.
