The Clovis Community Medical Center is offering a four-week long course that will equip women and their birthing partner with information that they may find helpful on the day they welcome their new little one to the world.
Being knowledgeable and prepared for childbirth can make the event much easier for both mom-to-be and her baby. With that in mind, these classes will meet on Wednesday evenings, and a series of four have been scheduled. There will also be a tour of the hospital's birthing facilities, and the fee to register is $105.
The syllabus for the learning includes several topics. There will be a discussion about the process of labor and birth and what the women can expect. Their coaches will discover ways they can offer comfort and support, and review of breathing and other relaxation techniques is also on the agenda. The medial options and pain relief choices will be covered, and the class size will be kept at only 10 couples. A poster printing company can create large-sized visual aids that can be used during this type of learning experience.
Each mom-to-be and partner is asked to bring along some pillows and dress comfortably. All of the materials needed for the course will be provided, and the registration fee covers both the pregnant woman and her support person.
The Clovis Community Medical Center will be offering this series of classes starting on April 24. It will start at 7:00 pm.
