A Clovis culinary class will soon be putting a twist on the old adage of April showers bringing May flowers.
The Clovis Culinary Center will be teaching those who enjoy hosting special events, as well as food fans, how to prepare a floral-themed charcuterie spread that will be both attractive and tasty. It will be on offer in person, and tickets are $60 each.
Attendees will be walked through the steps of turning meats, cheeses, and other ingredients into a “bouquet’ style charcuterie. Learners will be able to use the techniques they are taught to prepare their own spread for a party or other special event. Intended to be a fun and hands-on event, the runtime for the workshop is one hour.
When working with food, it is always important to keep safety and hygiene in mind. Class organizers can order sheets of tips for preventing foodborne illnesses and other kitchen safety advice from area Stationery printers, then hand these out to participants.
This chance to learn how to prepare a charcuterie bouquet that looks as good as it tastes has been scheduled for Saturday, May 25. It will get started at 12:00 noon at 3185 Willow Avenue, and additional fees and taxes may be charged if tickets for the session are purchased online. Questions can be directed to the organizers at 559-765-1016.
