A Clovis area summit will explore ways to help make sure everyone has access to healthy and affordable food, and it is being hosted by California FreshWorks.
FreshWorks provides programs that work to ensure that Californians can eat well. It has organized a symposium that will bring a variety of stakeholders together to discuss steps to improve the state’s food system and make it available to everyone who calls California home.
The daylong event will look at food security from both a rural and urban perspective. Alternatives to traditional grocery stores will be discussed, and the delegates will also learn about ways that credit underwriting and business development can be more equitable so that everyone can take a seat at the table.
The conference will be taking place in Fresno’s DoubleTree by Hilton, and there is no cost to register. Scholarships may be available for those who need some extra assistance with accommodations or childcare so they can participate, and anyone who would like to make use of this offer has been asked to contact epallana@communityvisionca.org..
By bringing a wide variety of stakeholders together to discuss an issue, an event like this can go a long way towards addressing problem. Promotional Pens and other items can be prepared for the occasion by a Print shop, and these can be handed out to each of the delegates.
The 2019 California FreshWorks Summit has been planned for July 23. It will kick off at 9:00 am.
