Clovis area car show to honor those who serve

The Clovis community has been asked to take some time from their September schedule for an event that will pay tribute to local first responders and military members.

The Fallen Heroes annual car show will welcome vehicles from throughout Central Valley, and the monies raised through registrations and other means will be donated to the function’s charities of choice. The organizers are seeking vendors, volunteers and sponsors for the day, and advance registration is $30.

Those who choose to enter a vehicle will be able to vie for one of the prizes, and a variety of awards will be presented. All trucks, cars and motorcycles are welcome, and when they arrive, the registrants will be able to pick up their complimentary swag bag of Promotional Products. The activity will be taking place at the site of the California 9/11 Memorial, and the participants and the general public are encouraged to visit the displays that will be set up in honor of the fallen.

To help make being part of the show more economical, a special group room booking rate is available at the Marriott Town Place Suites. Each has a kitchenette, and there is a car wash adjacent to the hotel.

The Central Valley Fallen Heroes Charity Car Show will be held on September 24. Questions can be directed to the planners at 559-898-2834.
