Clovis area activity to address mental health

An individual’s mental health can be just as important as their physical health, and a Clovis area activity will be putting a spotlight on the topic.

Dubbed “The Voice,” this mental health awareness event will be on offer at 4105 W Figarden Drive in Fresno. It will bring together a diverse group of individuals who would like to share their experiences, and it will be open to everyone aged 13 and up, although anyone under 16 will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The gathering will see an assortment of live performances that explore the field of mental health, and there will be open and frank discussions as well as workshops. The goals of the function are to both show those living with a mental illness that their community stands behind them and also to smash the stigma that surrounds this aspect of human health.

As well as the discussion, presentations, and workshops, attendees will be invited to browse through the community resource booths. They will be able to gather information about the local support network. Anyone interested in sponsoring the day is asked to contact the voicementalhealth@gmail.com. Materials for distribution at public events can be prepared by brochure printing companies.

The Voice will be shining a spotlight on mental health on Sunday, February 16. The doors will open at 12:45 pm.
