Stars & Stripes festival returns to Citrus Heights

The City of Citrus Heights is preparing for the fourth annual Stars & Stripes Celebration, an Independence Day gathering scheduled to return to Van Maren Park later this summer.

Attendees can expect musical performances throughout the night along with a designated Kid Zone offering activities for children. More than 10 food vendors are expected to participate, serving meals, desserts and refreshments from local food trucks. Organizers are encouraging residents to support area businesses during the celebration.

Guests may bring small coolers, though alcohol will not be allowed on site. Personal umbrellas are permitted, but large canopies are prohibited to preserve visibility and space for attendees. Residents planning to attend with pets are advised to consider the large crowds and fireworks noise before bringing animals to the venue.

Limited ADA-accessible parking will be available near City Hall and nearby designated lots. Golf cart shuttle transportation will assist guests traveling between parking areas and the event grounds. Bicycle valet services will also be provided through Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocate.

Volunteers are still being recruited for several event positions. Many public events like this one, commonly rely on Print shops and local advertising campaigns to increase neighborhood awareness.

The Stars & Stripes Celebration is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, at Van Maren Park, 6601 Thalia Way, Citrus Heights, California. Guests may begin arriving at 5:00 PM while event attractions officially open at 6:00 PM.
