The annual Armenian Food Festival will return to Citrus Heights in a few weeks.
This will mark the event’s 79th year with traditional dishes, music, dance, and cultural programming.
The outdoor festival will serve up a menu built around Armenian favorites such as barbecue, kufta, savory boureg, rice pilaf, and eggplant casserole. Outdoor seating will be available, although parking at the church is limited.
Entertainment will begin late in the morning and will continue throughout the afternoon. Vocalist Masis Isayan is scheduled to perform at noon and again at 4:00 PM, while jazz artist Sofi May will appear at 1:20 PM and 4:30 PM. Saxophonist Arsen Sultanyan will perform at 1:50 PM. Students from the St. James Saturday School will present several music programs under the direction of Karine Khurshudyan-Gevorgyan. Armenian dance music will begin at 5:30 PM, followed by a raffle at 6:30 PM.
Attendees should note that raffle prizes will include electronics, kitchen equipment, and gift cards.
The celebration supports St. James Armenian Apostolic Church and is intended to share Armenian culture and hospitality with the surrounding community. Organizers of cultural festivals often use poster printing to promote food Menus, performance schedules, and raffle details.
