A new community tradition will launch this May in Citrus Heights, with River City Marketplace as its host.
Citrus Heights Day is an outdoor gathering that will highlight local artisans, performers, and small businesses in a celebration of the city’s creative spirit and culture.
Attendees can expect a range of attractions, including a curated market featuring handcrafted goods, live art demonstrations, and a designated children’s zone with interactive art activities. Food vendors and live musical performances will also be featured throughout the event, providing entertainment for attendees of all ages.
Organizers invite the public to enjoy a day of community engagement and support for local creators. The first 100 visitors will get a keepsake event tote bag.
Vendor spaces are juried and open to makers with original work. Applications require an online presence or submitted samples for consideration. Wholesale or mass-produced merchandise is not permitted, and food sellers must hold a current MEV permit.
Entry is free and open to all residents and visitors. Those interested in participating as vendors may visit the River City Marketplace listing for more details.
Print shops may be used to provide attendees with information about new traditional events such as this one.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 3 and will run from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm at the Marketplace in the Birdcage parking area behind Jamba Juice at 5975 Birdcage Centre Lane.
