Citrus Heights prepares for fireworks

The City of Citrus Heights will host its third Stars and Stripes Celebration this June, transforming Van Maren Park into a patriotic gathering space.

This evening event is free for the public and will include live music performances, food vendors, family-focused entertainment, and a fireworks display.

Local food trucks will be stationed throughout the park offering a variety of meals and desserts. A designated Kid Zone, organized by the Sunrise Recreation and Park District and the Citrus Heights Police Activities League, will provide supervised activities for children. A fireworks show will conclude the night.

Attendees are permitted to bring small coolers, limited to 48 quarts in size. Alcohol is prohibited. Guests may bring umbrellas, however, full-sized canopies are not allowed.

Pets are allowed, and ADA parking spots will be provided at City Hall. Parking will be supplemented by shuttle service via golf carts to the park entrance.

Eleven food vendors are scheduled to participate.

Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates will provide bicycle valet assistance at City Hall for attendees arriving by bike. Volunteers are still being recruited through the city’s online volunteer hub.

Banner printing may be used by organizers to decorate the space for events such as this one.

The date and time of the event will be Saturday, June 28th, starting at 6 pm at Van Maren Park, 6601 Thalia Way, Citrus Heights, California. Lawn access opens at 5 pm. Food and drink will be provided for purchase on-site.
