Newport to emphasise healthy working environments
Newport will be hosting a one-day training workshop next month that focuses on attaining a healthy workplace.
‘Developing a Healthy and Connected Workplace’ seeks to foster resilience, increase productivity, and ultimately success in the working environment. The target audience is managers and staff employed in the social, health and criminal justice sectors. These industries are often under-resourced, and can see employees face considerable challenges dealing with complex situations.
A working life with busy timetables, competing demands and excessive information can result in low staff morale and inefficiency. There have, in the past two decades, been significant developments in psychology and neuroscience that has increased knowledge of how humans cope with stress in the modern workplace. As a result, many organisations now prioritise employee well-being.
Drawing on these developments, this workshop will deliver a series of recognised techniques to assist individuals to reflect on their working practices. It will combine video, presentations, practical exercises and group discussion, using evidence gained from leading international organisations. Attendees can adapt and apply what they have learned to their own particular sector in order to seek to improve and develop their current approaches.
Tickets cost £119.17 inclusive of lunch. The event is organised by Forensic Psychology Consultancy Ltd and events such as this often use poster printing as an effective marketing technique.
The workshop will take place between 10am and 4pm on 18th March at Newport International Sports Village.
