One of the most acclaimed actors in Scotland will pay a visit to Helensburgh later in the year, so that he can take on the leading role in a new stage play.
David Hayman will be coming to the town to perform in a play entitled ‘Time’s Plague’ and is written by Chris Dolan. This will be touring the country, with Helensburgh set to be one of the stops on the tour. It will mark the third occasion that Hayman has worked with the playwright, having previously played the main character in ‘The Cause of Thunder’ and ‘The Pitiless Storm’.
The first of these was put on in Helensburgh five years ago, so this will be a welcome return visit to the town for the pair. The location for the performance of the play will be the Victoria Halls.
Local venues such as that one can always use poster printing that has been created and supplied by shops in Helensburgh if they are looking to promote their upcoming shows throughout the town.
The director of ‘Time’s Plague’ will be David Hayman Jr., the son of the actor, and the production is by Fair Pley. It is part of a trilogy alongside the earlier Hayman and Dolan collaborations and will see Hayman portray everyman Bob Cunninghame again.
It will be performed in Helensburgh on September 17.
