Orchestral concert to take place in Helensburgh

Residents of Helensburgh who enjoy classical music will be pleased to hear that a concert dedicated to it is scheduled to take place in the town before the end of the year.

This concert will be performed by Helensburgh Orchestral Society, and it will see members of the society take on a range of classical pieces. The 2nd Symphony by Brahms will help to create a buoyant mood for those who attend, which will be contrasted by The Noon Witch from Dvorak, and both Hansel and Gretel and Overture by Humperdinck.

According to the Helensburgh Advertiser, a spokesperson for the society stated that:
“(We are) playing The Noon Witch (rather scary!), Hansel and Gretel, and as a calm, happy contrast, Brahms’ 2nd Symphony, which is uplifting rather than creepy.”

Although the concert is certain to draw in classical music enthusiasts, it still needs to be advertised, and poster printing from shops in Helensburgh is one of the many options available for that.

The Victoria Halls in the town will serve as the venue for this concert. Those who are interested in attending can buy tickets from Destination Helensburgh or the Scandinavian Shop. They can also be bought directly from members of the society, or purchased on the night of the show.

Helensburgh Orchestral Society will be performing on 2nd December, starting from 7.30pm.
