Miran Sharif is the man behind these proposals, and he wants to turn a warehouse on George Street, Helensburgh into this new business. His first set of Plans was turned down by the council last summer, due to concerns about the safety of the roads in the area caused by the expected increase in cars. Now, he has submitted a revised application addressing those issues.
This has been accomplished by providing additional spaces for cars to wait in the area off the main street, and increasing the level of detail on the sightlines for when cars are entering and exiting the area.
According to the Helensburgh Advertiser, the application also now has a supporting statement from the architect Chris Doak that says:
“The proposed car wash will have two persons employed washing cars, and therefore the number of cars washed would only be approximately 10 per hour.”
If these Plans get the go ahead, local flyer printing outlets are among the existing businesses in Helensburgh that could be used to help advertise it.
At one time, the garage looked set to become a venue for live entertainment and arts; however, this will no longer be going ahead. The warehouse is situated alongside Bruce’s Garage in Helensburgh.Get a Free Quote for Plans
