The member of the council in charge of the project, Gary Mulvaney, gave the latest update on the progress at a meeting held last month and his report included the news that construction of flood defences at the chosen spot has now been finished.
The building firm that is constructing the centre, Heron Bros Ltd, started a year ago but work has been slowed down by the pandemic. Mulvaney went on to thank the firm for the efforts everyone involved in the construction had put in during the initial 12-month period to stop things falling behind schedule.
Once they open, leisure centres often look to Stationery printers that are in the same area to supply them with administrative Forms and other items they need to run efficiently.
According to the Helensburgh Advertiser, Mulvaney stated that:
“Heron Bros has continued to make significant progress against their contract programme. The building structure is complete along with all the glazing installed.”
Mulvaney concluded by saying that work on facilities like the car parking area was also moving rapidly.
This leisure centre has been scheduled to open its doors to the public in August 2022.Get a Free Quote for Forms Get a Free Quote for Stationery
