Initial Helensburgh cycle path designs to be finished by spring

Plans for the creation of a new cycle path that will link Helensburgh with Dumbarton are moving forward, with the contractors expecting to have the first two phases designed by next spring.

WSP is the company that has been contracted to design this path for cyclists. The company has committed to trying to have the designs for phase one and phase two ready by the close of March, which is the financial year end. It is working closely alongside Argyll and Bute Council on the delivery of these designs by the deadline.

There will still be more to complete before it is possible to begin putting down the cycle path though. After completion of the designs, ecology surveys will need to be conducted at the chosen site, with the summer being the best period of the year for those.

Graphic Design Services in Helensburgh can help with the creation and production of designs for work of this sort, to ensure high quality images that properly showcase what it will look like.

According to the Helensburgh Advertiser, Kirsty Flanagan from the council stated:

“This provides a confirmed date by which WSP will complete contracted work and helps to clarify the timescale to progress this important project.”

The initial phase of this cycle path will cover the area between Cardross and Colgrain.
