The festive season in the town revolves around two regular events – Christmas Town and the Winter Festival. Most of the work of putting them together is carried out by a small group known as the Penguin Crew, and they have announced that they want suggestions from residents about how to make the events better.
According to the Helensburgh Advertiser, the group issued a statement that said:
“We want to hear from anyone who would like to organise something throughout December as part of the Christmas Town Month - be it a concert, panto, festive workshop, Christmas tree display or something completely different.”
The statement goes on to say that new members of the Penguin Crew are also being sought, so that this year’s Winter Festival can be the best yet. Helensburgh is home to shops that can supply items like promotional Pens to help get new people interested.
The organisers finished the statement by saying that people can put together activities or just help out during the event.
