Those behind the event are already promising that the 2016 festival will offer something to appeal to all tastes. Colquhoun Square in Helensburgh will serve as the venue for this year’s attractions and activities.
Although a packed programme is being planned, it seems certain that the ice skating rink will prove to be one of the most popular features on offer. This is planned to be the festival’s centrepiece, located within the town’s main square, with a night time disco skating extravaganza being held on the Friday evening.
A number of stalls will also be set up in this square, with local produce and goods on offer provided by community organisations, crafts people and businesses based within Helensburgh – making for one of the West of Scotland’s largest street markets. Furthermore, those braving the cold will find hot drinks and food.
One of the organising committee’s spokesmen told the Daily Record that:
“We are all very excited about this year’s Winter Festival. It is going to be a bumper year with something for everyone regardless of their age.”
The festival takes place across 26th and 27th of November and poster printing may be used to advertise it.
